On February 18, President Barack Obama named 105 scholars as recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers. Of those researchers, five were specifically recognized for their contributions to education research.

The Presidential Early Career Award is the highest honor for the United States government to confer on early career scientists and engineers. The awardees will be honored in a ceremony this spring.
