AERA invites proposals for the Education Research Service Projects (ERSP) program. This initiative, now in its fourth year, encourages education researchers to offer their professional expertise on a pro bono basis to educational organizations, institutions, or community groups that have specifically identified and expressed a need for such assistance. The deadline to apply is December 15, 2015.
To date, 31 awards have been granted through the ERSP program, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to cover the direct costs associated with these projects.
Through the ERSP program, researchers have worked with educational entities to identify gaps in teacher training programs, to improve the quality of services provided to students in extracurricular spaces, to develop and implement assessments and evaluations, and to assist with data collection and analysis, among other important activities.
Through project reports and invited poster sessions at AERA annual meetings, educational entities have testified to the critical impact of the ERSP program on their ability to better serve their students and clients.
Education researchers are encouraged to answer this call to service and to use their knowledge and skills to meet the educational needs prevalent in local communities. Please see the ERSP Call and Guidelines for Proposals for more information about the application process. Brief abstracts of all funded projects are also available on the ERSP webpage.
