Division K and the Annual Meeting
Print

Saturday, April 9, 6:15 to 7:45 pm, Marriott Marquis Level 4, Independence Salon E

You are cordially invited to attend the 2016 Division K Business Meeting where we intend to stay the course, pick up speed, and move forward. Staying the course means maintaining our commitment and continuing to wrestle together with teaching and teacher education issues that matter to us, and to a just, loving, inclusive world. Picking up speed means moving our agenda, developing plans of action, speaking out and building coalitions—what can do we together to make good things happen and resist the neoliberal press for standardization, privatization, corporatization? Moving forward means planning and looking ahead, setting goals, dreaming big dreams—imagining where we want to be as a division, as a profession, and as a community.

OUR SOCIAL MEDIA!

Our social media presence is growing! As of this printing, we are well over 2,500+ members in our Facebook page and it continues to grow! We continue to place value in technology as we propel ourselves forward in the 21st century! At the upcoming conference, for instance, look for our Tweets and updates on Facebook, as we show off the hundreds of paper sessions, poster sessions, symposiums, invited sessions, as well as the sights and sounds of DC! Our division business meeting will also use technology to gather important and timely polls about the issues and concerns important to us and our cause. Look for our emails and messages that will highlight how to do this, as we get closer to the conference. Additionally, look for our division officers to also post important Tweets that relate directly to us in DC.
