R & E SIG Chair Greeting

We want to welcome you to the website of the Religion and Education Special Interest Group.  We welcome you to join this SIG, interact with us, and become part of our family! Indeed, over the years we have developed a reputation for being a place of love and are in many ways like a family. We are a family of scholars that recognize the role that faith plays in the lives of countless millions of people in the United States, the North American continent, and around the world. We want to help religious scholars of faith succeed in the academic world. If you are looking for a place where you are loved and appreciated as a family member, as well as aided in your scholarly pursuits, you have found the right SIG. We welcome all faith traditions whether a person is an Evangelical Christian or a Hindu, from the Catholic faith or is Jewish, is a Buddhist or is of an Islamic belief, a mainline Protestant or a Mormon, and so forth. Our standards are high and the research is rigorous. We are blessed to have in our SIG members who are some of the leading researchers in the field and we are equally blessed to those who are relatively new in their academic journey. Please feel free to contact me any time. I want to help you in any way that I can.
