There are lots of ways that you can be involved in near future in SIG IT:

• Submit a Proposal: AERA and all SIG Proposals Due by in July.
• Volunteer to be a Chair or Discussant: This can be done when you submit your papers to the SIG. Follow the same link and volunteer to be a chair.
• Volunteer to be a reviewer: This can be done using the online conference submission system.  Keep a look out for an email from AERA inviting reviewers to volunteer, usually in the spring.
• Prepare to run for a SIG Office – We will be taking nominations starting in late September or Early October for SIG offices.
• Plan to submit a paper for one of our three paper competitions. 

All of these opportunities look good on a vita and can be great mentoring opportunities for graduate students in SIG IT as well.  We look forward to your participation.
