Kui Xie is the Cyphert Distinguished Professor in Department of Educational Studies at The Ohio State University (OSU). He earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Psychology and Technology from University of Oklahoma. He directs The Research Laboratory for Digital Learning at OSU.  His research interests include: computer-supported collaborative learning, motivation and human cognition, learning analytics and social network analysis, artificial intelligence in education, instructional design and development, problem solving and scaffolding, and technology integration in teaching and educational research.

Fengfeng Ke is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems, Florida State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from the Pennsylvania State University. Ke’s current research focuses on digital game-based learning, mixed-reality-based immersive learning, computer-supported collaborative learning, and inclusive design of e-learning.

Colin M. Gray is an Assistant Professor at Purdue University in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology and a Faculty Fellow in the Educational Research and Development Incubator. He holds a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University Bloomington, a MEd in Educational Technology from University of South Carolina, and a MA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art & Design. He has worked as an art director, contract designer, and trainer, and his continued involvement in design work informs his research on design activity and how it is learned. His research focuses on the role of student experience in informing a critical design pedagogy, and the ways in which the pedagogy and underlying studio environment inform the development of design thinking, particularly in relation to critique and professional identity formation. His work crosses multiple disciplines, including engineering education, instructional design and technology, design theory and education, and human-computer interaction.

Enilda Romero-Hall is an Assistant Professor of Instructional Design & Technology in the Department of Education at The University of Tampa. In her research, Dr. Romero-Hall is currently exploring different topics in the instructional design and technology field related to web- and computer-based instruction and learning. Her research interests include: multimedia instruction, human-computer interaction, social media, and distance/online education.

Dr. Romero-Hall obtained her Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Instructional Design & Technology from Old Dominion University. As part of her doctoral studies, Dr. Romero-Hall completed a Certificate in Modeling & Simulation in Education and Training. For her effort during her studies at Old Dominion University, Dr. Romero-Hall was awarded the Link Foundation Advanced Simulation and Training Fellowship and the Darden College of Education Dissertation Fellowship.

Sheng-Lun (Shonn) Cheng is a doctoral student in the Learning Technologies program in the Department of Educational Studies at the Ohio State University. He is also a Graduate Research Associate at the Research Laboratory for Digital Learning at OSU. Cheng received his M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University with Honors. His research interests include: distance education, motivation, technology professional development, and program evaluation.
