We seek to build bridges between research and practice, theory and intervention, psychology and pedagogy, counseling and teaching, quantitative and qualitative methods, and empirical and critical orientations. We see a need for more youth-centered theories and practices and are interested in pioneering innovative methods that integrate adolescent meaning-making with intervention science. In general, we are researchers applying a developmental lens to study instructional interactions (or applying a pedagogical lens to study developmental phenomena) who are interested in conversations among and across counselors, school psychologists, teachers, and administrators about transformative educational experiences.
