The 2011 Brown Lecture was held on October 27 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.

A packed audience filled the amphitheater, indicating the momentum established in theBrown Lecture’s eight-year history.

Ladson-Billings spoke on “Through a Glass Darkly: The Persistence of Race in Education Research.”

Following the Lecture, guests enjoyed a reception in the foyer of the Ronald Reagan Building.
